The brief
A sloped rear yard that was difficult to use. The client wanted usable outdoor living space connected directly to the house.
The approach
We built a raised terrace with a structural retaining edge, set wide stone treads for a comfortable rise, then layered planting to soften the geometry.
The result
Level, generous outdoor living space with a clear connection to the interior, and lighting that extends its use into the evening.
